With the upcoming launch of our autonomous E&M coding engine and future denial-prevention capabilities, we are expanding our executive team with a proven leader in Revenue Cycle Management and Coding Strategy.

The Vice President of Revenue Cycle & Coding Strategy is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of iScribeHealth’s AI-driven coding and denial-management initiatives. As the organization’s senior coding and RCM subject matter expert, this role will guide product development, lead coding and denial-prevention operations, and serve as the external face of iScribeHealth for revenue optimization conversations with clients, partners, and the broader healthcare marketplace. This position is a key member of the executive leadership team, driving mission-critical product initiatives, influencing operational strategy, and partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to bring transformative RCM features to market. The VP will ensure our autonomous coding and denial-prevention innovations deliver measurable financial value, clinical credibility, and exceptional customer outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision

· Serve as a core member of the executive leadership team, contributing to company-wide planning, decision-making, and growth initiatives. This position is a full-time, in-office role based in our Nashville headquarters. Due to the cross-functional nature of this position, physical presence in the office is essential for close collaboration with Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership, ensuring strong alignment and rapid iteration as we drive our RCM and coding initiatives forward.

· Lead the vision, strategy, and execution plan for autonomous E&M coding, denial-prevention insights, and RCM workflow optimization.

· Act as the senior SME informing the product roadmap, feature prioritization, accuracy standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.

· Drive the product initiative, ensuring alignment across Product, Engineering, and Data Management for feature development and release strategy.

· Shape long-term operational models that support scalable coding audits, compliance workflows, and customer-facing RCM education.

· Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to emerging teams in Coding, Denial Management, and RCM Operations.

Product Discovery, SME Responsibilities & Operational Excellence

· Act as the primary subject matter expert for E&M coding, payer documentation requirements, denial root-cause analysis, and revenue integrity trends.

· Lead discovery efforts that translate customer pain points into product enhancements and new feature opportunities.

· Partner with Product to ensure real-world clinical accuracy.

· Establish standardized processes for coding QA, auditor feedback loops and denial-prevention analytics.

· Interpret regulatory updates (CMS, AMA, payer policy) to ensure ongoing product compliance and accuracy.

· Validate new product capabilities with real customer environments, use cases, and specialty-specific challenges.

Customer Engagement, Education & Growth

· Serve as the face of iScribeHealth in revenue-cycle conversations with physicians, CFOs, practice administrators, auditors, and strategic partners.

· Deliver expert-level, onsite training and education covering documentation sufficiency, coding requirements, denial reduction, and revenue optimization.

· Support Sales and Marketing with RCM messaging, product demonstrations, value narratives, and conference representation.

· Build long-term relationships with executive stakeholders to ensure trust, adoption, and measurable financial outcomes.

Channel Partnerships & Ecosystem Development

· Collaborate with EHR vendors, RCM partners, and industry organizations to ensure alignment of workflows, integrations, and product positioning.

· Represent iScribeHealth at conferences, strategic partner meetings, and industry events as the authoritative voice in coding and denial management.

· Support joint go-to-market strategies with EMR/RCM partners to drive mutual adoption and commercial success.

Travel and On-Site Presence

· Embrace extensive travel to client sites, ensuring high-touch, face-to-face engagement for training, workflow validation, executive presentations, and partnership development.

· Maintain a strong professional presence while navigating diverse clinic environments, conversations about revenue, and high-pressure stakeholder interactions.

· Demonstrate exceptional communication, resilience, adaptability, and professionalism in every onsite engagement.

Qualifications

· 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Revenue Cycle Management, Medical Coding, Billing Operations, or Denial Management.

· Deep expertise in E&M coding, payer documentation requirements, and specialty-specific coding workflows.

· Proven experience influencing product strategy as an RCM or coding SME within a healthcare technology or SaaS environment.

· Strong understanding of denial-prevention strategies, root-cause analytics, and revenue integrity optimization.

· Executive-level communication skills with the ability to educate clinicians and influence administrative, financial, and operational stakeholders.

· Demonstrated success building or scaling RCM or coding teams, including auditors, educators, and workflow specialists.

· Experience with CAC, NLP, AI-assisted coding, or autonomous coding technologies (highly preferred).

· Strong familiarity with EMR/EHR ecosystems such as athenaOne, NextGen, Veradigm, Epic, or similar systems.
