Position Summary

We are looking for a full time Jewelry Designer to design Awe’s next collections of meaningful, demi-fine and fine jewelry. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the jewelry design production process from design brainstorming, material selection, sketching, and CAD iteration/feedback. This role will work directly with our Creative Director and Senior Product Development Manager. This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days in our Hollywood office a week required.

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the Product Development team to review new concepts, sketch feedback, and fine tune product specifications, 9 months ahead of product launch;
• Prepare detailed product illustrations ensuring the SKU plan needs are met at the category, collection, margin, and price bucket levels;
• Compile and hand off technical packages and detailed product specifications;
• Audit new and innovative materials, colors and techniques in the market and recommend ways to integrate into the assortment in ways that are both brand-right and forward thinking;
• Define product standards and guidelines for both new and existing designs;
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing fine or semi-fine jewelry for brands with strong visual identities and brand ethos;
• Technical training and certification in fine jewelry design and production required;
• Fluency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator to produce detailed product illustrations and technical packs;
• A strong portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual work with excellent execution of ideas;
• Exceptionally high degree of aesthetic sensibility in the luxury and accessible luxury jewelry markets;
• Strong sense of fashion coupled with an ability to put aside personal aesthetic and design for the brand;
• High attention to detail and understanding that even the smallest details and specifications create the most desirable products;
• You should have the ability to think conceptually and design aesthetically, translating creative direction into visual references.
