Positions exist for those who would like to grow into a leadership role as well as individual contributors.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize design and simulation tools (CAD, FEA, CFD, etc.), rapid prototyping (3D printing, quick-turn fabrication, etc.) and data logging and analysis in developing creative solutions to provide engineering justification and design validation.
- Develop designs for textile assembly production equipment (from components to a complete assembly line).
- Create documentation of prototype and production equipment design criteria and engineering justification that supports design decisions and component selections (actuator size, sensor type, motor size, bearing size, etc.).
- Develop fabrication drawings and complete BOM’s for ordering prototype and production assembly equipment.
- Troubleshoot prototype and production assembly equipment for reliability, quality, and throughput issues. Provide solutions based on engineering justification.
- Collaborate with other mechanical engineers to grow cumulative team technical knowledge and skills, improving team efficiency and synergy
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, technicians, and administrative personnel to accomplish product and project goals.
Required Technical Skills:
- 3+ years of 3D CAD modeling experience (SOLIDWORKS preferred).
- Experience converting/developing “ideas” into practical and functional “solutions” that meet the business needs in a timely manner
- Experience working with industrial grade automation components (sensors, motors, PLC’s, etc.).
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, and fabrication techniques and how they can be leveraged to enhance reliability and reduce cost.
- Experience supporting project planning, budgeting, and task delegation.
Bonus Skills:
- Machining or fabrication experience.
- PLC programming experience.
- Robot arm programming experience.
Minimum Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
