As a Software Engineer at RoadSync, you will be responsible for the design and development of our Golang and Python APIs running in AWS. We’re looking for a strong problem solver and team player who can immediately contribute to the success of RoadSync. You know you are a good fit for the job if you believe in automating everything and enjoy writing clean code.

Some things you’ll be doing at RoadSync…

• Help design and build applications that adhere to the “Well-Architected Framework”
• Develop API software for the RoadSync platform which includes SaaS and mobile applications
• Follow the 12 Factor App methodology and champion it within RoadSync
• Write readable “clean code” and coach others to do the same
• Plan and estimate as part of RoadSync’s Agile development process
• Refactor the existing code base as you fix defects and add features
• Build unit and integration tests for both new and existing code
• Participate in code reviews
• Provide level 3 support to professional services and customer service teams
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and methodologies that improve RoadSync’s ability to serve its customers

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

• 5+ years relevant work experience
• Self-motivated and team-oriented mindset
• A passion for using software to solve problems and reduce manual work
• Experience working with APIs using Golang, Python, or similar language.
• Experience with relational databases and developing transactional software
• Experience with React and Javascript is a plus
• Serverless systems development experience a plus
• Experience working with AWS services like API Gateway, EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, and Cognito a plus
• Payments or accounting SaaS experience a plus
• AWS Certifications a plus
• US citizen or individuals with existing work visas only
