About the Job

About the Role

The Solutions Consultant is a key contributor to the success of our sales objectives, providing supply chain domain expertise and deep product knowledge across all pre-sales engagements. This role works in close partnership with the sales organization, focusing on all activities that ensure target sales achievement, successful solution delivery, and total customer satisfaction.

This is not a support role. You will take the lead on discovery andsolutioning throughout the sales pursuit — owning the process of uncoveringcustomer pain, implicating that pain across the business, and architecting theright combination of ketteQ agents and solutions to address it. You arelaser-focused on making the customer's problem real, urgent, and solvable.

This is a hands-on role that blends deep supply chain planning expertisewith technical solution design, value engineering, and strong commercialinstincts. You will shape how customers and prospects experience ketteQ andplay a critical role in expanding our footprint within accounts.

Duties & Responsibilities

What You Will Do

Discovery & Solution Leadership

  • Take the lead on discovery within the sales pursuit — running workshops, asking the hard questions, and systematically uncovering customer planning challenges, process gaps, and decision-making breakdowns across demand, supply, inventory, and S&OP functions.
  • Identify and implicate customer pain — connecting operational symptoms to financial impact and making the cost of inaction clear to economic buyers, champions, and technical evaluators.
  • Map customer pain points to the appropriate ketteQ solutions and underlying planning agents, designing tailored solution architectures that show how ketteQ integrates with a prospect's existing APS and ERP environment.
  • Qualify prospects according to ketteQ's capabilities and applicability, contributing to MEDDPICC-driven deal qualification and progression at every stage.

Pre-Sales & Solution Selling

  • Partner with the sales team on qualified opportunities, leading solution demos, proof-of-value engagements, and technical deep dives with prospective customers.
  • Assist in identifying customer needs, key stakeholders, and the economic buyer within the purchase decision.
  • Construct and deliver custom demonstrations utilizing customer-provided data that address the customer's most urgent planning challenges. This may involve configuring specific planning agents and solution scenarios to illustrate measurable impact.
  • Where necessary, create and deliver supplementary presentation materials — solution architectures, value frameworks, competitive comparisons — in support of customer-specific demonstrations.
  • Contribute to RFP/RFI responses with clear, compelling articulation of ketteQ's differentiated approach.
  • Consistently follow the sales process, ensuring that key deliverables are completed at each stage.

Value Engineering & Realization

  • Own the value narrative from first engagement through post-deployment. Build and defend business cases that quantify the financial and operational impact of deploying ketteQ — including inventory reduction, service level improvement, planner productivity gains, forecast accuracy, and working capital optimization.
  • Develop customer-specific ROI models and value assessments that tie directly to the metrics and KPIs the customer's leadership cares about.
  • Partner with customer teams post-deployment to measure actual results against projected value, building proof points that support expansion and renewal.
  • Translate value realization into customer success stories, reference data, and proof points that fuel future sales pursuits.

Solution Design & Delivery Support

  • Define agent behavior, parameters, data integration requirements, and decision logic in collaboration with the customer and ketteQ engineering.
  • Produce sales-to-services transition documentation and participate in handoff meetings to ensure successful transfer of newly won accounts to the deployment team.
  • Monitor post-deployment performance and recommend additional agents or solutions to expand value within existing accounts.

Marketing, Events & Partner Ecosystem

  • Represent ketteQ at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and webinars — delivering product demonstrations, thought leadership presentations, and customer-facing content.
  • Support marketing initiatives including content development, case study creation, and campaign participation that reinforce ketteQ's positioning in the market.
  • Participate in partner ecosystem activities — supporting joint selling motions, partner enablement sessions, and co-solutioning with technology and consulting partners.

Continuous Improvement

  • Proactively provide effective feedback to product management and engineering on product gaps, agent performance, and improvement areas originating from the field.
  • Communicate customer-driven product improvements and recommendations to the broader organization.
  • Contribute to the development of solution templates, demo environments, best practices, and delivery accelerators.
  • Stay current on supply chain planning trends, competitive landscape, and evolving customer expectations.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, management, consulting, implementation, or enterprise pre-sales, with domain expertise in one or more key industries (manufacturing, CPG, high-tech, industrial, or distribution).
  • Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals, industry best practices, and available solutions in the APS/SCM/ERP space.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more APS/planning platforms (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, o9, Anaplan, Oracle, Logility, or similar).
  • Experience with MEDDPICC or comparable enterprise sales qualification methodology — you understand how to map technical value to business outcomes, identify and implicate pain, and support a structured sales process.
  • Strong working knowledge of AI technologies and how intelligent agents are transforming enterprise workflows — both in terms of how agents change the way you work as a pre-sales professional and how they change the way your customers plan and make decisions.
  • Proven ability to build business cases, ROI models, and value assessments that connect solution capabilities to measurable financial and operational outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain planning processes, data flows, and KPIs across manufacturing, distribution, or service environments.
  • Technical aptitude — comfortable working with data, SQL, and configuration tools. Python experience is a plus.
  • Technically curious. You tinker, experiment, and dig into how things work. You don't wait for someone to hand you a demo script — you build, break, and improve things on your own.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and time management skills — you can explain agent-driven planning to a VP of Supply Chain and a data engineer in the same afternoon.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus, given ketteQ's native Salesforce deployment.
  • Adaptable with strong initiative. Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment where processes are evolving and your input shapes them.
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, partner locations, and industry events as needed (approximately 30%).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

What Sets You Apart

  • You've lived through the limitations of legacy planning systems and you're energized by a fundamentally different approach.
  • You are obsessed with customer pain. You don't demo features — you diagnose problems, make the cost of those problems impossible to ignore, and then show how ketteQ solves them.
  • You think in terms of outcomes, not features — you measure success by the decisions your customers are able to make and the value they capture, not by the number of screens you've configured.
  • You thrive in a dynamic startup environment. ketteQ is scaling fast, and you'll help define processes as much as follow them. You don't wait to be told what to do — you see what needs to happen and make it happen.
  • You're a tinkerer. You're the person who spins up a new demo scenario on a Friday afternoon because you had an idea. You stay curious about new tools, new techniques, and new ways to use AI in your own workflow.
  • You have a builder's mindset — you want to shape how an emerging category leader sells, delivers, and proves value.
