Role:

As an IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER, reporting directly to the Director, Operations, your key objectives will be to provide project management and relationship management for new IRA and solo (k) clients during the onboarding process. This team establishes the first impression to the client, and the Implementation Manager will serve as the project leader, coordinating efforts and activities between multiple workstreams and communicating with stakeholders, both internal and external.

Location:

This is a remote position, but candidates must reside within a 2-hour drive of either Pittsburgh, PA, Charlotte, NC, Milwaukee, WI or Salt Lake City, UT. Occasional travel to one of these cities will be required.

Responsibilities:

The essential responsibilities and duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage the onboarding process for the implementation of new plans and transition of existing plans, adhering to specific timeframes for projects with medium to high complexity.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, collaborating with internal teams to successfully drive projects to completion and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Establish and manage extensive project plans including deliverables for both internal and external business partners, holding team members responsible for assigned deliverables.
  • Identify and communicate any issues that may impact the success of the transition. Also, identify any risks that could cause financial exposure, delayed implementation, or client dissatisfaction.
  • Ensure the receipt of legal agreements and additional documentation while coordinating efforts with clients, advisors, compliance, and other partners to meet requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity and conduct post-implementation audits to verify accuracy.
  • Oversee payroll conversions.
  • May also oversee internal projects such as fund swaps, merger and acquisition activity, new product implementations and other large business initiatives that require solid project management skills.
  • May manage a team

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to utilize strong interpersonal skills working effectively with a wide range of diverse departments and clients, both internal and external.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple ongoing projects and competing priorities.

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience related to implementation of retirement plans within a financial institution.
  • Candidate must have knowledge of day-to-day retirement or IRA recordkeeping practices and familiarity with mutual funds and other investment products.
  • Must be US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible to work in the US permanently.
