Role:

As a SENIOR TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER, reporting directly to the CTO, and a member of the Program Management team, you will help drive the successful definition, implementation, and delivery of cloud infrastructure and software that powers our reliable, high-performing, and scalable platforms. You will lead the execution of all phases of the software development cycle and effectively communicate program details to ensure alignment across the organization. In your day-to-day activities, you will manage schedules, identify risks and mitigations, manage escalations, propose trade-offs, and communicate clearly to project stakeholders. The ideal candidate enjoys working in technically complex areas, handles ambiguity and changing priorities well, and is driven to utilize their expertise to build new processes and methodologies.

Location:

This is a remote position, but candidates must reside within a 2-hour drive from Charlotte, NC. Occasional travel to the Charlotte office will be required.

Responsibilities:

The essential responsibilities and duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Define and lead the Release Management process in coordination with Product Owners and Technical Leads.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to resolve constraints, dependencies, and issues during software development.
  • Work with teams to set milestones, communicate project statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks.
  • Develop and evangelize best practices and product development processes in coordination with Product leadership.
  • Assist in developing infrastructure roadmaps based on product design and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate implementation of roadmap from the early stage of development through launch.
  • Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables, including specifications and test plans.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review.
  • Identify resources needed and work closely with team leads to maintain full visibility of multiple projects.
  • Ensure resource gaps are addressed efficiently.

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS ECS/EKS, MQ, RDS, Redshift) and software development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, adept at bridging gaps between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from conception to delivery.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate others to achieve their best.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle challenges head-on.
  • Organizational and time management skills to juggle multiple projects with efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team and client-facing environments.
  • Must be US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible to work in the US permanently.
