As a Software Implementation Engineer at Flourish, you'll be the technical bridge between our software platform and our clients' success. You'll lead software implementations for cannabis operators ranging from emerging SMBs to large-scale multi-state enterprises, ensuring successful adoption of our seed-to-sale compliance and operational management platform.
You will work directly with dispensaries, cultivators, manufacturers, and distributors to configure our platform to their workflows, train users, and maintain compliance with state systems like METRC and BioTrack.
Job Duties
Lead end-to-end software implementations for cannabis operations of varying complexity (SMB to enterprise-level)
Manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting strict timelines and budget requirements within defined scopes
Serve as the primary technical liaison during the onboarding phase that sets clients up for long-term success
Conduct needs assessments and develop tailored implementation strategies
Configure Flourish's platform to match cannabis supply chain workflows, including cultivation tracking, manufacturing processes, inventory management, and compliance reporting
Assist with data migration from legacy systems (spreadsheets, QuickBooks, other cannabis platforms)
Provide virtual and in-person training on platform features, compliance workflows, and operational best practices
Proactively identify potential implementation risks and guide clients through mitigation strategies
Utilize project management tools to plan, track, and communicate project milestones and deliverables
Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless client experiences
Collaborate with internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues and communicate product feedback
Contribute to process documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
Support the development of implementation best practices and methodologies
Requirements
At least two years of technical or operational experience in a cannabis production environment or a similar role is highly preferred. Direct METRC and/or BioTrack experience is a plus.
Experience working in a start-up environment
Project management experience in a technology environment
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong Excel, SQL, and data-oriented technical aptitude
Experience with process mapping and SOP development
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Comfort with technical training in both a live and remote setting
Familiarity with software development, tracking, project management, and communication tools (e.g. Jira, HubSpot, Teamwork, Zoom, Google Workspace, and Slack)
Studies have shown that women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they meet every single one of the qualifications as described in a job description. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive company and we are most interested in finding the BEST candidate for the job. That candidate may be one who comes from a less traditional background, and that’s okay. We would strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don't believe you meet every one of the qualifications described.
