This internship will provide an energetic and responsible student the opportunity to support our growing organization for the 2024-2025 school year. You will learn how a leading fabric technology company with offices in the US and Taiwan operates, gaining experience and valuable insights about the textile industry. In addition, this role will directly assist the Office & Events Manager and Product Development Team with in-office administration tasks including shipping processes, organization, and event/trade show preparation while learning about textiles. Internship Dates & Times: Position is flexible, based on student availability. Must be able to work at least 10 hours a week, and come into the office two days a week.
Compensation: College credit. This is an unpaid internship, with the opportunity to transition to a paid position in the future.
Intern Duties and Responsibilities
- Ship out product samples to customers and communicate details with sales team
- Organize fabric headers and keep track of our fabric library database
- Manage fabric library and inventory
- Assist in preparing information and research materials on various industry topics
- Manage brrrº fabric database and CRM database
- Organize and maintain testing results for brrrº fabrics
- Various clerical duties to support management and the sales team
- Assist in data research and testing analysis
- Assist in development of external communication on fabric testing and analysis
- Develop/Coordinate marketing campaigns for trade shows and events
- Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks Intern Requirements and Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Knowledge of Graphic Design, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva is considered a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter, able to think creatively and work independently
- Energetic and eager to tackle various new projects and ideas
- Available to work at least 10 hours per week, at least 2 days in office weekly
- Must have your own laptop to bring to work
- This internship is for credit earning and is unpaid, with an opportunity to progress to a paid position in the future
